Breaking: Court sacks Ondo PDP House of Reps candidate, Bode Ayorinde

Emerging reports have claimed that the Federal High Court sitting in Akure has sacked Bode Ayorinde as the Peoples Democratic Party House of Representatives Candidate for Owo Ose Federal Constituency.

The court confirmed Sadiq Obanoyen as the authentic PDP candidate having won the party’s primary election.

The reports further claimed that the court ruled that it was wrong for the national leadership of the PDP not to submit Obanoyen’s name to INEC as the party’s flag bearer.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that a member of the House of Representatives representing Owo/Ose constituency in Ondo state, Bode Ayorinde, said he left the APC for the Peoples Democratic Party because of impunity in the party.

Ayorinde addressed newsmen shortly after he obtained a PDP nomination form at the state party secretariat in Akure on Tuesday, August 28.

Recall that the lawmaker was among the House of Representatives members that defected to the opposition party on July 24.

The lawmaker, who is currently serving his first term in the lower chamber of the National Assembly, said the APC had disappointed many democrats during the last congress.

In a related development, a member of the House of Representatives gave an insight on how the horse tradings that culminated into the defection took place.

Honourable Bode Ayorinde, representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency of Ondo state at the National Assembly, made the revelation on how the former APC members dumped the party for PDP.

According to Sahara Reporters, Ayorinde spoke on Tuesday, December 11, at a stakeholders meeting and flag-off ceremony for his campaign in Owo area of the state.
