He said: ''The leader who stole my mandate for Dapo Abiodun could not enter Ogun state for six years before 2011.

“Amosun came in 2011 and rebuilt the state. He fought insecurity to a standstill. That was when he came back into his own house in Abeokuta.

“It is sad that an elder statesman like him could be working with some external forces to truncate the development we are currently enjoying in Ogun state.

“In 2015, he left the party for the SDP (Social Democratic Party). He wanted Amosun to fail, but God said no. He defected with two senators, six House of Representatives members and 11 House of Assembly members, yet they all lost. They will lose again."

The APM governorship candidate, who disclosed that Governor Amosun was being fought because he refused to share the state resource with the unnamed former governor, promised to make Ogun safe if elected.

He said: “Now, he and his people are on a mission to turn Ogun state upside down. By the grace of God, Ogun under my watch would not allow anybody to hijack our natural resources, especially our lands. Ogun will be safe with me as the governor.

“They are fighting Amosun because he didn’t share Ogun lands for them. He didn’t allow them to siphon Ogun State’s wealth.”

He also charged people of the state to stand by their votes as plots are ongoing to rig the coming election in the state.
