Premier League side, Chelsea, are hoping to complete the signing of Argentine star, Gonzalo Higuain, ahead of next week transfer deadline.
The forward touched down in London on Tuesday morning, January 22, and he is expected to seal his loan move to Stamford Bridge after his parent club, Juventus, agreed a deal with the Blues.
According to a UK Metro report, Higuian is keen on signing the contract in time so he can feature in Chelsea's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Spurs on Thursday, January 24.
His deal with the London outfit will reportedly include an option of buying the striker permanently in the summer.
The 31-year-old's arrival at Stamford Bridge is expected to solve Chelsea's attack-line woes, with Alvaro Morata expected to join Atletico Madrid.
Should Morata's deal see the light of day, he will effectively end his 18-month miserable stint with the Blues.
