"I have to say I'm extremely angry, very angry indeed. This defeat was due to our mentality, more than anything else.

"This is something I can't accept. We had a similar issue in the league game at Tottenham in November,'' Sarri explained.

But with the Carabao Cup semifinal second leg clash with Tottenham on the way, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri made peace with his wards.

According to the Times, the 60-year-old Italian had a meeting with all his players on Monday, January 21, in an attempt to thrash the issues.

The report also claimed that some players clamored that Frenchman Olivier Giroud should return to the Blues' first team.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are currently occupying fourth position on the Premier League standings with 47 points after 23 games played this season.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Belgium international Eden Hazard reportedly made up his mind to stay at Chelsea until the end of the ongoing Premier League season and then leaves for possible move to Real Madrid.

Since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo at the Santiago Bernabeu, Los Blancos' chiefs have been looking for a replacement in which Hazard has emerged as a target.

And according to the latest report, Eden Hazard is ready to reject any contract offers from Chelsea even though his current deal will expire in the next 18 months.
