The acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Yakubu Mahmood and other stakeholders have met on how to ensure effective electoral process during the forthcoming general elections.
Legit.ng reports that the police noted in a tweet on the evening of Monday, January 21, that the meeting which was held in Abuja, was to synergise and strategise on how to ensure an effective and efficient electoral process.
The tweet read: #IGPAdamu and his management Team met with INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu and his Team at Force Headquarters, Abuja to synergize and strategize on how to ensure an effective and efficient electoral process."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that the acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, ordered the immediate disbandment of the Federal SARS, Special Investigation Panel and Special Tactical Squad.
It was reported that the IGP announced this on Monday, January 21, at his inaugural conference with commissioners of police and other senior officers in Abuja.
