Higuain was not listed in AC Milan's 2-0 win over Genoa on Tuesday, January 21, which means talks are ongoing for the 30-year-old to reunite with his boss at Stamford Bridge.
On the other hand, Morata is expected to join Atletico Madrid on loan with an option of the deal being made permanent after he was spotted in the Spanish capital.
Reports claim the 26-year-old will sign a deal in the next few hours if an agreemnet is reached between Chelsea and Atletico.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Spanish La Liga campaigners Atletico Madrid are reportedly in talks with Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata over a return to Spain before the transfer window closes.
The 26-year-old Spanish footballer is currently struggling for form this season at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is said to have lost faith in him.
