- Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has dismissed criticism against President Buhari's oratory skills, noting that his integrity sets him apart as a leader
- Osinbajo declared that President Buhari is fit for another term in the interest of the country
- The vice president said some elite are angry because President Buhari doesn’t share the resources of the country with them
The vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, on Sunday, January 20, said President Muhammadu Buhari does not have any problem with his health and he is fit for another four years in the interest of the country.
New Telegraph reports that Osinbajo, who had an interaction with some Christian youths in Lagos, debunked the insinuation over the president’s state of health and capacity to run for another term.
According to him, “I don’t think there is any problem with the president’s health. The man is sane and well; fit and healthy.”

He said part of the reasons why so many people, especially elite are angry and anxious is because President Buhari doesn’t share the resources of the country with them.
He said: “President Buhari is not an orator. I am an orator and my business is oratory. I am a lawyer. The reason why you have a person like that is integrity. For the first time in Nigeria, you do not have people confident enough to say that I am going to run a deal with president.
''That I am going to make away with the country’s fund. Part of the reasons why so many people, so many our elite are angry and anxious is that he doesn’t share the resources of the country.
''If you want to get an oil block; if you want to get money or do all of those things; we are no longer in that business. That is the reason why I am very confident that if you have such a man like that for another four years, our country will be so much better because the resources would not be stolen.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Former President Olusegun Obasanjo who expressed disappointment in vice president Yemi Osinbajo’s activities said he has shown human weakness and proved the saying that the corruption of the best is the worst form of corruption.
Obasanjo mocked the President Buhari-led administration’s TraderMoni initiative describing it as an outrightly idiotic programme.
He made the statement in an open letter titled “Point for Concern and Action” which he distributed to journalists at a press conference held at his house at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta.
