Beverly Osu reveals she received death threats over her recent racy nun photos

Religion is something that many people all over the world hold dear, especially Nigerians. Several of them have been known not to joke with things concerning their faith.

Nigerian actress and model, Beverly Osu, who became known after she participated in popular reality show Big Brother Africa in 2013, offended a number of people after she took photos wearing what looked like a nun outfit while smoking a cigarette.

As expected the photos were frowned upon by many people especially Catholics who felt she disrespected their faith.

In a recent chat with Punch, the video vixen revealed that she also received several death threats because of the photos.

She said: “I received a lot of death threats in my direct message on social media. I also received phone calls, saying I shouldn’t come out. People called my mother to threaten her life but I felt that they were all bluffing.”

Speaking further she explained that she was not expecting that kind of backlash but she is not afraid of anybody. “Sincerely, I didn’t expect it, and there was nothing to cope with because I wasn’t bothered. I was not scared because I’m not afraid of anybody”, she said.

Finally Beverly explained that Nigerians should forget about religion and focus on finding God.

“If the Christians always claim they are Christlike; with the number of Christians in the world, the world should have become a better place since the 90s. I always say this, forget religion and find God.”

Meanwhile Legit.ng previously reported that popular reality show, Big Brother Nigeria, would hold its 2019 edition in Nigeria unlike previous editions that were held in South Africa.

Nigerians all over the world were glued to their TV screens in the past just to catch a glimpse of their favourite housemates and even spent huge amounts to vote for the contestant they wanted to emerge as winner.

Despite the fact that there can only be one winner, the show helped create a good platform for former contestants and some of them have made good use of the opportunity.

In the past, the programme gained criticism for taking place in South Africa despite it being tagged a Nigerian show. But things would be a bit different in the 2019 edition.

It has been gathered that the reality show is going to take place in Nigeria and auditions are to hold on the first and second of February.
