Premier League giants Chelsea have reportedly agreed a transfer deal with Italian club Juventus for the signing of 31-year-old Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain.

The Blues are said to have agreed a loan deal with the Old Lady for Gonzalo Higuain to play at Stamford Bridge till the end of the ongoing Premier League season.

Gonzalo Higuain's arrival at Chelsea will also pave the way for Alvaro Morata to leave for Spanish club Atletico Madrid.

According to the report by Standard UK, Higuain is expected to fly to London on Friday, January 18, in order to undergo a medical and sign the Chelsea contract before tomorrow’s deadline.

The report added that Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri wants the signing to be completed as soon as possible for the player to face Arsenal in their next Premier League tie.

Chelsea are currently occupying fourth position on the Premier League standings with 47 points after 22 games played this season.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Premier League giants Chelsea completed the signing of 20-year-old American football star Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund for £58 million.

But the winger who had been linked to Liverpool will be loaned back to the Bundesliga side until the end of the ongoing League season in Europe.

Chelsea have beaten a number of Premier League clubs to the signing and the winger will join Maurizio Sarri's men in the summer.
