Spanish giants Real Madrid will face stiff competition from two Premier League sides Manchester City and Chelsea in quest to price away Christian Eriksen.

According to a UK Sun report citing AS, the Galaticos are eager to seal a move for the 26-year-old Danish playmaker, who is dragging to extend his stay at Tottenham.

The report further hinted that other top European clubs are harnessing their plans to join the chase.

"It's hard to name just one particular top-level club who are keeping a close eye on him because there are sides from England, Spain, Italy and Germany,” a close source to the Tottenham star was quoted as saying.

The Danish international has one and half year deal remaining in his current contract but his body language suggests he is likely to leave north London in the summer.

Meanwhile, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and club chairman Daniel Levy are still strategizing on how best to keep the Dane, who could likely leave for free if he plays out his contract.

The former Ajax star moved to the Premier League in 2013 and have continued to excel season after season at Spurs.

Interestingly, Eriksen is expected to attract about £100m transfer fee to join the likes of Gareth Bale and Luka Modric, who left Tottenham at the height of their career.
