The 2018-19 Nigeria Professional Football League entered its match day five during the week with exciting results across match centers where actions took place.
Before its resumption on January 13, the country's topflight was on comatose for about eight months owing to different issues from various quarters.
Though, the newly promoted teams, along with the other two flying the flag of the nation on the continent are yet to taste any action this campaign.
However, that will not change the fact that some of the players have began to show the quality they are made off, like they say, make hays while the sunshine.
Meanwhile, it will be difficult to pin-point one particular player since this season started as the best in any department.
And this goes to the right back position in all the teams in the NPFL, the league is too fresh to know who the best right full back is.
But below are three players who have attracted our attention this campaign:
- Kano Pillars Ifeanyi Nweke
- Akwa United Mathew Etim
- Enyimba international player Stanley Okorom formerly of MFM FC
1. Stanley Okorom joined the two time CAF Champions League winners before the start of this season from his former club MFM FC.
He is one of the key players who helped the Olukoya Boys as they are referred to gain promotion into the NPFL in 2015.
Okorom is a defender who knows well how to overlap and score, and he is fast becoming one of the players specialized in converting free kicks.
The defender is no doubt one of the very best in the Nigerian League today, reasons he is a sort after by other top clubs in the competition.

2. Ifeanyi Nweke currently plays for Kano Pillars and his style of play distinguishes him from all other players in his position.
He is known for his speed on the flanks with good crosses capable enough to put the opposition defence in disarray.
Another advantage the Sai Masu Gida defender has is his dribbling skills, a quality any modern football star should have.
3. Mathew Etim of Akwa United: Just like Nweke, Etim is a near perfect defender with a lot of overlapping prowess.
His crosses are top notch and his recovery rate could be described as one of the very best in the league.
He was part of the Enugu Rangers team that won the NPFL title for the first time in 32 years and also got called up into the Super Eagles during the reign of former coach Sunday Oliseh.
