Nobody can turn Buhari against me, it is impossible - Amosun

- Governor Ibikunle Amosun has said no one can turn President Buhari against him

- The governor said those politicians trying to pit him against the president will fail

- Amosun also urged the people to resist anyone trying to disrupt the peace in the state

Ogun state governor, Ibikunle Amosun has accused some politicians of working overtime to pit him against President Muhammadu Buhari.

Amosun said effort to turn the president against him will be unsuccessful and warned politicians to desist from such manipulations.

The Punch reports that the governor made this statement at Kajola ward in Obafemi Owode local council in continuation of his campaign to win the Ogun Central senatorial poll.

He said: “All that they are doing is to turn President Buhari against me. Nobody can turn him against me. It is impossible.”

The governor also claimed that some people were trying to disrupt the peace in the state. He urged his people to kick against such attempts.

“Where were they before this time, it is now that the state is fast developing that they want to disrupt its peace. Resist them, don’t allow anybody to enslave you," he said.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Amosun on Thursday, January 10, said he would not rule himself out from vying for the office of the Senate president if the opportunity presents itself in the nearest future.

Amosun made the comment while interacting with his constituents in Ewekoro local government area of the state as he seeks to represent them in the upper chamber in the 2019 general elections.

The governor stated that he might be disposed to seeking the Senate presidency whenever the slot is zoned to the southwest.
