A member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Garus Gololo, has boasted that President Muhammadu Buhari would defeat his opponents easily on the day of the presidential election, scheduled for Saturday, February 16.

Gololo, who is also the leader of the Fulani Nationality in Benue state, said the contest is between Buhari and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

According to him, Nigerians were happy with the level of development recorded so far that they could not afford not to re-elect President Buhari.

He also said Nigerians knew the difference between Buhari and Abubakar Atiku in terms of capacity to govern and passion for corruption.

His words: “From what I have gathered from fellow Nigerians, by noon that day, Buhari would have defeated Atiku. There is no argument about this. It is a fact. What do you think Atiku can offer?

“Buhari has done well and even ordinary people on the streets know what I am talking about. If you talk of infrastructural development, he has done well, several federal roads are under construction.

“Look at the rail line linked to many states. Children who were born about 30-40 years ago who have never seen a train in their lives are very happy seeing train which passes through their domains and are now enjoying rail transportation. This is a very good and big project that has turned around the fortune of so many Nigerians.”
