The past governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, has called on the people of the state not to return the senate minority leader, Biodun Olujimi.
Fayose in a new video released on Twitter urged the people of Ekiti state to vote against Olujimi, who represents Ekiti south at the 2019 National Assembly polls.
The former governor in the new video advised Ekiti electorate to vote Atiku and other PDP candidates at the 2019 polls expect Senator Olujimi.
Fayose said: “Ekiti Kete o, my name is Ayo Peter Fayose, Osokomole. My beloved teachers, my beloved workers, okada riders and entire people of Ekiti State.
“I commend to you, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, our President-in-waiting. I commend to you all candidates of PDP in Ekiti except Senator Abiodun Olujimi.
“That is, we must not return Abiodun Olujimi to the Senate. I know you will do exactly what I ask you to do. I love you and may God bless you, this is Act 1, Scene 1," the former Ekiti state governor said.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the crisis between the duo escalated after Fayose and Olujimi on Tuesday, January 8, inaugurated separate presidential campaign councils of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
On one hand, Fayose, in Ado-Ekiti chose Chief Dipo Anisulowo as the council’s director-general, Olujimi, on the other hand selected Yinka Akerele for the same office, Punch reports.
However, until recently, Fayose and Olujimi had agreed to inaugurate Kolapo Olusola, a former deputy governor of Ekiti, as the head of the presidential campaign council in the state.

The issue degenerated into a state of confusion in the state chapter of the party when on Monday, January 7, Olujimi faulted a publication released by a pro-Fayose group, saying it was at contrary to what was agreed on during their meeting, that was why she rejected the council.
Speaking on the development, Fayose said that he had been fair to the caucuses of the party in Ekiti in constituting the campaign council by allowing caucus leaders to choose representatives for the team.
