- Jarrell Miller is eyeing a fight with heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua this year
- The American admitted that he cannot say the particular time the fight will go down
- He insisted that he is not scared of the WBA, IBF and WBO champion
American boxer Jarrell Miller is confident of securing a fight with Anthony Joshua sometime this year.
The 30-year-old New York based pugilist has won 23 out of his 24 professional bouts - 20 of which ended in knockouts while the last one ended in a draw.
Miller insists that he is not scared of the current WBA, IBF and WBO world heavyweight title holder.
Late last year, Joshua revealed his next bout will be in April this year but no opposition has been confirmed yet.
SunSport however reports that the Briton could ditch the Wembley fight date to make his stateside debut and defend his belts against ‘Big Baby’ Miller, in New York.
The publication further revealed that Joshua was at the stands when Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez defeated Brit Rocky Fielding in December 2018, with Miller also said to be attendance.
Miller’s co-promoter Dmitriy Salita believes Joshua’s presence at MSG that night sparked rumours he may be plotting a rivalry with the American according to SunSport.
While the promoter also revealed he has spoken to Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn about the heavyweight showdown - though it may not happen as soon as people suggest.
Salita said: “Jarrell and Joshua is one of the biggest fights to be made in boxing. With Jarrell being from Brooklyn fighting Joshua at the Mecca of boxing would be huge.

“Joshua came to MSG last month and made some comments that fueled rumours of this possibility.
“We have had general discussion with Eddie about the fight for a while and I believe it will happen at the right time. Whether that time is Joshua’s next fight I don’t know.”
Legit.ng earlier reported that world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been decorated with the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Prince Charles.
The 29-year-old was previously given an MBE in 2013 after claiming an Olympic gold in the super heavyweight division at London 2012.
Dressed in a black suit jacket and grey trousers, the 29-year-old once again beamed with delight on his visit to the Palace as he accepted the honor from the Prince of Wales.
