Michy Batshuayi set for Chelsea return after being attacked by Valencia coach Marcelino

- Michy Batshuayi is now on the verge of making a return to Chelsea from Valencia

- He recently missed a sitter against Sporting Gijon which made Valencia coach angry

- Batshuayi has not been impressive since joining the La Liga side scoring only three goals

Belgium international Michy Batshuayi is now set for a return to Premier League club Chelsea after being slammed by Valencia coach Marcelino Toral over poor performances.

Since joining the Spanish La Liga club on loan from Chelsea last summer, the 25-year-old striker has not been impressive scoring only three goals in 23 games.

On Tuesday, January 8, Valencia coach Marcelino was forced to substitute Michy Batshuayi after missing a sitter in their Copa del Rey loss to second-tier Sporting Gijon.

Marcelino Toral was livid after the encounter and made a statement that could affect Michy Batshuayi's progress at the club.

"I think we have to get in some strikers. I've clearly run out of patience with certain individuals.

"We could have gone in front in the first minute. It was the best opportunity I have seen us create for six months.

"If you can't even get a shot in on target you are not fit to play in the Primera Liga for Valencia.

"I don't make substitutions to send signals to anyone - I make them based on the performances I see.

"On the effort and the commitment, on everything that I see. I set out to be fair, and I make changes starting from that point,'' the 53-year-old explained according to UK Sun.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Spanish League giants Valencia agreed to sign Michy Batshuayi on a season long loan deal from Chelsea.

The Belgian forward spent last season on loan at German League side Borussia Dortmund after spending the first half of the 2017-18 season at the Stamford Bridge.

He was part of the Belgium team that won bronze medal at the 2018 World Cup after beating England 2-0 in the third place match in July.
