The immediate past governor of Plateau state, Jonah Jang, has said he would ensure Atiku's win in 2019 elections, while also pledging support for Jeremiah Useni, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s governorship candidate in the state.
Jang who is also a senator of Plateau North made this known at the first campaign rally of PDP in the state to the huge supporters of the party at Mangu Mini Stadium which was the venue of the rally, Vanguard reports.
The former governor also accused the All Progressive Party (APC) of deceit as he asked the present governor of the state, Simon Lalong, to be ready to leave his seat during the next elections.
He said: “Enough of the deceit and exploitations of the APC. Lalong should start parking his luggage to move out of that Government House. I didn’t build the Government House for him.”
Plateau PDP chairman, Damishi Sango, who spoke after Jang, also pleaded with embittered party members to be patient enough as he said “Lalong is the worst governor the state has ever had”.
