A Nigerian man identified as Ibrahim Wada has gained the attention of many internet users after sharing photos of the innovative way he has found to charge his phone.
Lamenting in a post shared on Facebook, Ibrahim revealed that residents of Kankia local government area in Kastina state have suffered major power outage for many weeks due to a faulty transformer.
This led him to use an innovative means to charge his phone. He resulted to using a car battery to charge his smart phone. However, he pleaded that the matter be resolved as soon as possible as residents are barely getting by.

Interestingly, Daura, the hometown of the current Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari is also located in Kastina.
Although there has been no recent reports on the state of electricity in the area, some social media users are a little disappointed that the state which is home to the President's hometown has some of its inhabitants suffering basic necessities as electricity.
As for Ibrahim Wada who has found a way to charge his phone, although clever, it remains a temporary solution to a big problem.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has said that the current power outage in some north east states was due to a tripping caused by a fault on the Jos-Gombe 330kv transmission line.
