Doctors save lives, but it is no surprise that there are times when they try their best and still a patient dies no matter what. After all they are just doctors not the maker himself.
A Nigerian doctor who left the medical profession has taken to social media to reveal the reason for his decision. The doctor identified simply as Guendouzi revealed that he left due to the failed healthcare system.
The man narrated the story of the incident that led to his decision to leave the profession. He explained that he left the medical field after a patient died and he was blamed for it after he did all he could for the deceased.
According to the doctor, the patient had died come into the hospital with a severe injury on her neck after an accident had happened along Owo Road.
He revealed that from the wound he realised that she needed a cardiovascular surgeon which meant she had to be transferred to a teaching hospital.

The doctor explained that there was no air support which meant they had to travel by road. He claimed he tipped the ambulance driver and the driver promised to get the patient to the location in two hours.
On the way, he called them to keep in touch and discovered that they had not arrived due to traffic and they got there after three hours.
According to him, the doctor that attended to the lady claimed he could not treat the patient because of something he had done and even blamed him for her impending death.
After she died, her family members started to threaten him and he was asked to go into hiding for a day. The next day he was called to defend his case in front of the panel.
His case was solved and he was free. The doctor revealed that he, however, decided to let go of the profession that was paying less for hard work.
