Red Bull Salzburg boss Marco Rose is listed among potential candidates to take over Manchester United managerial role this summer.
According to UK Sun report, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was handed an interim role for the rest of the season, but Manchester United chiefs’ have now shortlisted Rose alongside three others in case preferred Jose Mourinho’s choice Mauricio Pochettino snubs a switch to Old Trafford.
Other potential managerial candidates include Laurent Blanc, Solskjaer and former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.
United eggheads value the 42-year-old Rose impressive reign at Red Bull Salzburg after leading the Austrian outfit to the semi-finals of the Europa League last season aside from winning the league title in his first time of asking.

Interestingly, in 2016 Manchester United chief Ed Woodward made moves to land Pochettino, but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy refused to let go of the Argentine tactician.
The Old Trafford landlords have already confirmed they would take the rest of the campaign to name a new manager after sacking Mourinho in December 2018.
At the moment, Solskjaer has helped United return to winning ways after a dismal start to the season, and with three wins and 12 goals so far and the fans looking forward to a better new year.
Currently, United are eight-point adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea, but after win over Bournemouth they have just three points between them and fifth placed Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported that Manchester United are desperate to sign Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly for €120m in the summer.
According to UK Metro report citing Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport, the Red Devils chiefs have resolved to sign the Senegal international at the end of the 2018/19 season.
It also suggests that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis will talk to potential suitors if an offer of about €120m (£108m) arrives.
