Arsenal manager Unai Emery has revealed the reason he opted not to sign Mohammed Salah while still handling his former club Ligue 1 club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
According to Metro (UK), Emery could have bought Salah while he was still attached to Roma in 2017, but was unsure how the 26-year-old would have copped with pressure at a big club.

"We spoke about the possibility to sign Salah to Paris Saint-Germain when he was playing at Rome," Emery revealed.
"We had some doubts - and then he signed for Liverpool and these doubts he has broken at Liverpool. Now if you are speaking about the top five players in Europe, one is Salah," he said.
And when Emery was asked on what made him shy away from signing the Egyptian he said: "Can he take the performance into one big team?"
"For example like PSG in Paris And today I can say to you...if we signed him, we signed one player on the top five int he world," he concluded.
Emery's side come up against Jurgen Klopp's men who remain unbeaten in the league, at Anfield on Saturday, December 29, in what is certain to be a cracker.
The Egyptian will be looking to extend his goal tally having already amassed 59 goals in 75 games for the Reds.
