The year 2018 is winding down and the past few months were either a memorable or a bad one for some individuals. In the entertainment scene, some Nigerian celebrities made the news for either positive or negative reasons.
Some popular personalities seemed to be all over the internet that they even earned a nomination on Legit.ng’s noisemaker of the year 2018 list.
After an online poll was organised and conducted one person emerged as the winner. However, before we announce the 2018 noisemaker, let us give a brief rundown of the nominees.
Abisoye Olukoya better known as Oyemykke has built a reputation for himself as an online motivational speaker. However, his style of passing across his message usually involves him shouting on the streets of London. Recently, he got Nigerians talking after he criticised Nigerian entertainer, DJ Cuppy’s music. Shortly after that, there were reports that he was bounced from a show even though he later explained that it was not the case.
2. Tonto Dikeh
This Nollywood actress has been dubbed a drama queen by many people on social media. She has been in the news several times this year for controversial reasons.

Okuneye Idris popularly called Bobrisky is a famous Nigerian cross dresser. He sometimes refers to himself as Nigeria’s number one male Barbie doll. His decision to dress and identify as a woman despite being a man has caused a lot of controversy this year.
4. Kemi Olunloyo
Controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, sure knows how to get Nigerians talking. She seems to enjoy being in the news for questionable reasons. The online blogger has also attacked a number of celebrities this year.
Legit.ng readers voted and at the end of the poll, the winner was none other than the one and only Kemi Olunloyo. It is important to note that she also won Legit.ng's noisemaker of the year 2016.
In second place was Bobrisky with a total of 13 votes. Tonto Dikeh came in third place with 10 votes while Oyemykke had just five votes.
