The remains of President Muhammadu Buhari's former school principal, Malam Sanda Kaita, have been laid to rest at the Rimin Badawa cemetery in Katsina state, The Independent reports.
The late educationist and Islamic scholar, who was the former principal of Government College, Katsina, died at the age of 88 and was buried after a funeral prayer was held at his residence behind Social Development Training Centre, Kofar Durbi in the state capital.
Legit.ng gathers that apart from President Muhammadu Buhari, other former students of the late educationist include late Shehu Yar’adua, Senator Abba Ali, Inusa Saulawa and Tanimu Gidado.
Leading the prayer session for the deceased is Malam Jaafar Sabuwar Kasuwa, a renown Islamic scholar, who described late Kaita's death as a colossal loss for the state.
Other sympathisers at the funeral ceremony were the state commissioner of commerce, Abubakar Yusuf, and former senator Abba Ali.
