Miyetti Allah backs President Buhari, Sani Bello for 2019 polls

- Ahead of 2019 presidential electionthe Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has adopted President Buhari

- Governor Abubakar Sani Bello was also adopted by the association as the governorship candidate of Niger state

- The association also hailed the two leaders for their initiatives to revive grazing reserves

President Muhammadu Buhari has been adopted as the presidential candidate of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) for 2019 general elections.

The association also adopted Niger state Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, as its candidate for the 2019 governorship election in the state.

Alhaji Muhammadu Kiruwa Ardon Zuru, the national president of the association disclosed this at the official inauguration of Fulani Volunteers Group in Minna on Wednesday, December 26.

According to him, the adoption was based on the track record of Buhari and Bello. He said the programmes initiated by the federal and Niger state government have impacted peoples lives positively.

Daily Trust reports that Kiruwa also hailed the two leaders for their initiatives to revive grazing reserves, adding that the singular efforts have endeared both leaders to the association.

Going further, he announced that over 10,000 youths have denounced armed robbery, kidnapping and cattle rustling, adding that some of such youths have surrendered weapons in Niger state.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the socio-cultural Fulani herdsmen group, Miyetti Allah said that it would announce its presidential candidate before the end of this week.

The secretary general of the group, Saleh Alhassan, said this in an exclusive interview with the medium.

Legit.ng gathered that the frontline candidates, President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former vice president Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are both Fulani and are both into animal husbandry.
