- The north London club were held to a 1-1 draw in a Premier League match against Brighton

Alex Iwobi is the latest player at the receiving end of trolls coming from Arsenal fans following their 1-1 draw at Brighton.

The Nigerian international came on early in second half for Mesut Ozil during their Boxing Day fixture at American Express Community Stadium.

As the 22-year-old made his way into the pitch, he was seen walking over to Gunners team-mate Granit Xhaka with a rather important question in need of answering.

It seems the Arsenal academy graduate did not particularly understand the conversation he had with Unai Emery in the changing room.

It was not confirmed what Iwobi asked Xhaka but it appears that he asked the Switzerland international: "What formation?"

And Arsenal faithfuls on social media had a field day on the back of the exchange between the two Gunners stars, with one tweeting: "Iwobi didn't even know what formation Arsenal were playing."

Emery's tactical change did not get the desired effect as the Gunners shared the spoils in their disappointing Boxing Day match against Brighton.

After the match Emery said: "Tactically some matches I did that [make changes].

"I wanted to control better the positioning on the pitch, but in the second half we couldn't do our ideas on the pitch to impose. We created less chances in the second half."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton and Hove Albion in their Boxing Day clash at Falmer Stadium.

It took Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang just seven minutes to open scoring for the Gunners away from home.

But a 35th minute equaliser from Jurgen Locadia ensured parity was restored for the home team before the first half was wrapped up.
