Chelsea star Eden Hazard is eyeing a new record at Stamford Bridge after emerging the club’s 10th player to net 100 goals in the 2-1 win over Watford.
According to UK Metro report citing Sky Sports, the Belgium captain is excited his two goals in each half at Vicarage Road helped him achieve Chelsea milestone as well as helping the Maurizio Sarri tutored-side topple Arsenal to fourth place in the Premier League log.
During the tough encounter, Hazard dribbled Ben Foster to net his 100th goal for Chelsea, but Watford’s Roberto Pereyra responded moments later for the Hornets with a fantastic volley.
Hazard continued to torment Watford’s defence line in the second stanza but was unprofessionally fouled by Foster in the 58th minute. The Belgian dusted himself to convert Chelsea’s second from the spot and his 101st goal for the Premier League outfit.
“It means a lot, especially because we won today,” he told Sky Sports after the victory.
“101 goals with this amazing club is something I will never forget but now the fans, staff and players want more.

“I want to score more for this club and then try to be a legend like Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba and John Terry.
“I can even play at centre back. My target is to score goals and to try and win the game, as a winger or a striker. I missed a couple of chances today, especially in the first half, but I scored two so it’s important to keep focus.
“We showed great character against Man City after defeat by Wolves, and today we did the same thing after a defeat to Leicester.
“When we fight together we are a top team,” Hazard told Sky Sports moments after the game.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported had reported Eden Hazard netted his 100th and 101st as Chelsea maintain fourth position in the Premier League with a 2-1 Boxing Day victory over Watford at Vicarage Road.
The match was an evenly contested game but Maurizio Sarri's men created the better chances in the opening exchanges.
The match took an astonishing turn in injury time of the first half as two goals were scored within the space of three minutes.
