Jordi Alba robbed in his Barcelona mansion while at home with family

- Burglars broke into the home of Spain international Jordi alba in Barcelona last month

- The cart away some of his valuable possessions in the process as they were home when they were ripped off

- The Barca defender however reported the situation to the Catalan police authorities

Barcelona left back Jordi Alba was a victim of burglars last month as he and his family were robbed at their home.

The defender, his wife and their only child were said to be downstairs while the bandits ransacked their Barcelona mansion.

After realising what had happened, Alba called the Catalan police to inform them of the incidents while continuing with their lives.

The couple, who had their first child Piero earlier this year were however left in shock according to SunSport.

Meanwhile, the former Valencia star believes his adorable wife Romarey Ventura is just superb with all she does.

The four-time Spanish League winner posts regular images of the couple together with their baby to his 10.5 million Instagram followers showering so much affection on her.

"I love you so much," he wrote on the social media site. "You are my joy."

Romarey has her own supporters on social media, with more than 266,000 followers for the Spaniard.

Her snaps include insights into family life with baby Piero as well as selfies from around the world.

Alba joined Barcelona in the summer of 2012 and has gone ahead to win four La Liga titles, one Champions League among several other domestic and continental silverware. earlier reported that Manchester United have shown interest in signing Barcelona defender Jordi Alba.

The Spaniard has two years left on his current contract at the Nou Camp and was promised a new deal by former director of football Raul Sanllehi two years ago, but not offer has been made.
