The Fertiliser Producers and Suppliers Association of Nigeria (FEPSAN) has donated N570 million for the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of the 2019 elections.
Daily trust reports that the group announced the donation during a Gala night organised by the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday, December 19.
In attendance were the president and the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Bola Tinubu.
Thomas Etuh who is the president of FEPSAN commended President Buhari for positively changing the fortune of farmers.
He noted that under Buhari’s administration, fertiliser blending plans increased from 4 to 30 and were working in full capacity.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has declared that in order to enable businesses to grow in the south-east region and the country at large, President Buhari must be voted out of office.
The former vice president made the assertion on Wednesday, December 19, when he took his campaign for election to Aba, Abia state.
