Actor Osita Iheme organises football competition in his village (photos)

Nollywood actor Osita Iheme has always showed that he has a knack for football and everything that comes with it. Often, he shares photos of himself playing the game with fellow peeps and simply having fun. As it seems, the small but mighty screen god has taken his passion for the game to another level.

This he did by organising a football competition in his hometown. The games which has already started is designed to celebrate the local talents in his village.

Osita's village named Amawuhie hosted the Nollywood actor during the opening ceremony of the football competition which was held on December 9. In the event, the 36-year-old celebrity kick started the games by stepping onto the field and fiddling with the ball.

Other people in the village were also seen on the field as they commemorated the beginning of what was expected to be a thrilling, satisfying and rewarding period.

The games which started during the opening ceremony is expected to end on January 6. Osita posted a banner of the event on his Instagram page.

Alongside the banner he shared, Osita also shared a caption that showed how much he believed in the competition. He said: "It was a great pleasure to kick off the osita iheme football competition once again. Players are in high spirit, talents plenty from the locals."

As gathered by Legit.ng, this is not exactly the first time Osita will be hosting such football competition. The young man has been known to organise such events in his community.
