- Liverpool chiefs are in talks with PSG over French midfielder Adrien Rabiot
- The 23-year-old who is also linked with Barcelona will be out of contract next summer
- PSG chiefs are eager to keep the Frenchman as they don't want to sell Rabiot to Barcelona
Premier Liverpool giants Liverpool are in talks with Ligue 1 champions PSG over star midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
According to The Mirror, the 23-year-old Rabiot’s present PSG deal runs out at the end of the campaign which has seen the likes of Barcelona circle around the talented midfielder.
The Ligue champs are keen on extending his stay at the French topflight but recent talks between both parties have not yielded any dividend.
The Reds chiefs are eager to seal the deal but it is still uncertain club boss Jurgen Klopp would sanction a deal for a midfielder, having landed the pair of Naby Keita and Fabinho last summer.
Additional reports from French news channel, L'Equipe claim the Catalan giants have also held discussions with the French champions, over a potential bid for Rabiot in the coming transfer window.
The report further explained that Rabiot’s £55,000-a-week salary, which is lower to other squad members at PSG is the main reason the Frenchman wants to leave.

At the moment, Rabiot is still considering his next move, but he will be free to hold talks with potential suitors when the winter transfer window opens in January.
But the report suggests PSG are unwilling to see Rabiot move to Barcelona due to Barcelona after relations existing between the two clubs over Neymar's switch to the French capital.
A move that will likely see Liverpool emerge tops if they back their words with a formal offer come January 2019.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported Liverpool centre-back Joe Gomez is facing six weeks on the sideline after fracturing his lower leg during Reds 3-1 win over Burnley at Turf Moor.
According to The Mirror, the Liverpool defence ace was involved in a nasty tackle with Clarets defender Ben Mee in the 23rd minute and was forced to take an early shower.
The injury was greeted with hot exchange of words by the pair of Jurgen Klopp and Sean Dyche on the touchline as Gomez was stretched off.
