Pep Guardiola declares Aguero and De Bruyne unfit to play against Chelsea

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed that the pair of Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne will not play any role for the Citizens in Saturday’s Premier League clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

After cropping a muscle injury in training, Aguero has failed to feature in City's last two games, but was looking forward to face the Blues at Stamford Bridge.

A Daily Mail report now claim City manager Guardiola has ruled out the Argentine forward for Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash at west London, even as the Spaniard hinted that De Bruyne is still nursing a knee injury.

Both cannot play tomorrow,” Guardiola noted, even as he was quick to add that the pair will return soon.

“It's always difficult at Stamford Bridge. I've been there a few times and won once. Normally I lose.

“They have a good side. You see the bench who don't play regularly and who are excellent players. They're a real contender."

City remain unbeaten in their title defence and their manager Guardiola has warned against complacency.
