- Rev Fr. Ejike Mbaka has reacted to the criticisms that greeted his comment on the PDP vice presidential candidate, Peter Obi
- Mbaka had said the desire of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, was bound to fail if he continues being stingy and unwilling to donate to the church
- He, however, noted that his prophecy on the 2019 election would as usual be made public on December 31
The controversial Catholic priest, Rev Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has defended his recent outburst with former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi, saying he was right in line with the scripure, despite divergent views making the rounds on social media.
Legit.ng regional reporter in Enugu, Ikpechukwu Chinedu, reports that Mbaka had told the vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi, during the annual harvest and bazaar celebration of the church on Sunday, December 2, that the desire of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, was bound to fail if he continues being stingy and unwilling to donate to the church.
Mbaka, however noted that his prophecy on the 2019 election would as usual be made public on December 31.
It was gathered that he told his audience on Wednesday, December 5, during ‘E No Dey Programme’, that he is scripturally right and not cowed.
According to him, Sunday’s programme was a bazaar programme where people are invited to support church's project done once a year.
He said there is nothing to hide. He gave instances with biblical verses to back up his claim. He recalled how Ananias and his wife died in the Bible while trying to be tricky with Peter after selling their land.
The only priest who prophesied the victory of Buhari and the APC in the 2015 elections said that Peter Obi is his son and he has every right to tell him if he is stingy or not.
According to him, what he asked for in a bazaar was to support God’s project not Mbaka’s project. He said no project there belongs to him but the Catholic church.
Speaking further, he said when you are anointed, you can talk to both the poor and the politicians without fear.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that Peter Obi, the vice presidential candidate of the pleaded with Nigerians to stop attacking Rev Ejike Mbaka verbally over his predictions.
