Arsenal manager Unai Emery is reportedly planning to jump in the chase to sign Club Brugge striker Wesley Moraes in January.

The 22-year-old forward has been superb for his side - scoring 10 goals and three assists in 20 appearances this season.

Daily Mail however reports that the Brazilian star in heavily wanted by the Spanish born tactician to bolster his attack.

The Gunners recoded a 2-2 draw against man United at Old Trafford during the week as they stretched their unbeaten run to 20 games after the match.

Fiorentina and Valencia are other teams bidding to sign the striker in the winter transfer window which opens in a couple of weeks from now.

Meanwhile, Moraes' current contract with his present club is not due until the summer of 2023, but Bruges could cash in on the interest in their in-form attacker.

The Belgian topflight side signed Moraes from Slovakian club AS Trencin in January 2016 for just £900,000, and would net a huge profit by flogging their man to the Premier League, Serie A or La Liga.

Moraes has seven goals in the league this campaign, with Bruges in second place, four points off leaders Genk. previously reported that Premier League giants Arsenal have leapfrogged their north London rivals Tottenham in the chase of Roma ace Cengiz Under.
