- A senator representing Kogi East senatorial district, Atai Aidoko, has cautioned Air Marshall Isaac Alfa against dragging the leadership of the Senate to disrepute

- The senator urged Alfa to wait for the verdict of the Supreme Court on the election that made him the winner of Kogi East which he was challenging in court

- Meanwhile, Isaac Alfa has accused the leadership of the Senate for failing to swear him in having been declared winner the Kogi East poll by an appeal court

The senator representing Kogi East senatorial district, Atai Aidoko, has advised Air Marshall Isaac Alfa to wait for the verdict of the Supreme Court before accusing the leadership of the Senate of bias.

In a report available in The Punch, Alfa, an ex-chief of air staff, was replied by the senator following a media outcry that the leadership of the Senate was insincere in a bid to uphold the outcome of an appeal court that declared him the winner of the Kogi East senatorial zone in 2015.

Legit.ng gathers that Alfa has been locked in a three-and-half-year legal tussle with Senator Atai Aidoko over the result of the senatorial seat in which he has been declared winner in different verdicts earlier given by six courts.

Reacting to Alfa's statement, in which the leadership of the Senate was singled out, Aidoko called on retired air marshal to maintain the protocol and follow the law, adding that it is only the Supreme Court that has the verdict to declare him winner.

He said: "The issue at stake is a pre-election matter which only the Supreme court can take a decision on.”

The senator also urged aggrieved Alfa to wait for the judgement of the higher court, warning him against making fuss from a matter already pending in court.
