Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi started his footballing career with the English underage teams where he played for the U16, 17 and 18 teams but switched allegiance to Nigeria in 2015 and has made 21 appearances for the west African team with five goals to his credit

Nigeria international Alex Iwobi made his debut for the Super Eagles in their 2-0 won over DR Congo in a friendly encounter in Belgium on October 8, 2015.

The Arsenal superstar came in for Ahmed Musa in the 57th minute of the encounter and has been superb for the west African country since then.

Since he debuted for the Super Eagles three years ago, the attacking midfielder has made 21 appearances for Gernor Rohr's side.

His goal against Zambia at the Uyo International Stadium sealed Nigeria's progress to Russia 2018 World Cup but failed to register a goal at the tournament.
