Nigerian music star, Adekunle Temitope better known as Small Doctor, was arrested on Monday, December 3, for the allegedly possessing illegal firearm as well as threatening harm on a policeman.

Shortly after he was arrested alongside three other suspects, the music star was released. Speaking with the Punch, the Penalty star explained that his arrest was a case of misunderstanding. He further revealed that he would not knowingly be involved in any illegal act.

He said: “It was a case of misunderstanding and everything is settled.

“My fans need to know that I will not get involved in any illegality. The younger ones look up to me for hope and I will never let them down.”

Speaking further, the music star explained that he is actually licensed to carry a gun, contrary to several reports.

He said: “As I said earlier, I cannot be involved in any illegal activity. There is no way I will hold a firearm without having a licence.”

Despite his recent case with the law, Small Doctor explained that he is still going strong as his upcoming concert slated for December 9, would still hold.
