What is IPPIS in Nigeria?
The meaning of IPPIS in Nigeria is Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System. This is a department inside the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation. See also: DPR registration requirements
The responsibility of the department is the payment of salaries to the Government employee’s bank accounts with suitable remittances and deductions of third-party payments, such as:
- Cooperative Societies
- Administrator of Pension Fund
- Service of Federal Inland Revenue
- Association Dues

The main aim of the program is to form a centralized and well-organized database system with all the needed employee information for proper work of Nigerian Public Service. According to the official website, the main function of IPPIS is to pay wages on time and accurately within contractual regulations and statutory.

Thanks to IPPIS, since 2007, billions of Naira were saved because of extirpation of a significant number of ghost workers. IPPIS works in collaboration with other government structures such as Ministry of Finance, Commission of Civil Service, Head of Service Office and so on.

To complete your IPPIS online registration, verification and data capture, you should login into your account. Follow the steps:
- The first step is to visit web page verification.ippis.gov.ng;
- The next step is to enter your IPPIS Number;
- After that enter IPPIS Registration Token and follow the verification process;
- Click on “Login” and it is done.
