It is no longer news that some Lagosians are fond of throwing dirts on the ground without making waiting to get to their destination to trash their nylons, cans and lots more.
A young girl identified as Misimi Isimi has crowned herself Miss Environment in Lagos. The 11-year-old girl is fond keeping her state clean. She’s responsible for making sure her environment is tidy.
In an interview with BBC News, she explained that if everyone keeps littering their environment it will increase death rate in the country.
She said: “My name is Misimi Isimi and I’m on a mission to save Lagos from environmental waste. There’s no such thing as waste, every waste can be reduced, reused and recycled. Some adults aren’t environmentally responsible in keeping the environment clean. I love to educate kids right from their tender age so when they grow up they can be caretakers, they can be environmentally responsible and environmentally conscious. I actually love to call myself Miss Environment. We should stop littering the environment, because if we litter the environment, this may lead to pollution and may lead to diseases and infection which may lead to a high mortality rate also known as death.”
