Two Nigerian women Abisoye Ajayi-Akinfolarin and Amina J Mohammed have made the 2018 BBC 100 most influential women around the world list. The two women made Nigeria proud by making the list.
According to BBC, the women who made the list are from 15 years of age to 94 years. It was also gathered that they were from more than sixty countries.
Some of these women were picked based on their achievements against the odds and those who used action to uncover women from the shadows. They are leaders, trailblazers and everyday heroes.
Abisoye Ajayi-Akinfolarin is a 33-year-old social impact entrepreneur who founded a non-governmental oragnisation that teaches girls how to code, design and build website. The NGO known as GirlsCoding helps to solve problems in communities.

Amina J Mohammed is a 57-year-old woman who became the deputy secretary general of the United Nations. She was a former minister of environment in Nigeria and the previous special adviser to former United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
Nigerians are making their presence known all around the world by using their skills and knowledge to make the world a better place.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that eight Nigerians had been named on the 2019 Forbes 30 under 30 list which featured 600 young innovators, entrepreneurs and risk-takers.
