The Kaduna state governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has accused the former governor of Anambra state and the running mate of Atiku Abubakar on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi, of being a tribal bigot.
El-Rufai, made the accusation in a tweet while reacting to another tweet from a group, Coalition of Buhari-Osinbajo Movement, quoting an article from Leadership accusing Obi of deporting northerners from Anambra state during his tenure as governor.

Governor El-Rufai said Obi was widely quoted on national TV saying the Department of State Service was right to detain him for visiting Anambra in 2014.
He tweeted: "Peter Obi is a tribal bigot. He was widely quoted on national television that the SSS was right to detain me for 48 hours in an hotel in 2014 on the grounds that ”El-Rufai has no business being in Anambra State as it is not Katsina State”! I sued the SSS and awarded N4m damages."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that following report that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) vice presidential candidate, Peter Obi, demolished mosques and sacked non-indigenes, especially northerners, from Anambra when he held sway as governor, three ex-commissioners of police in the state have exonerated him.
The three former commissioners of police in the state, who spoke on different occasions, said Obi never demolished mosques nor sacked non-indigenes from the state.
