A Federal High Court in Abuja, led by Justice John Tsoho, has approved the commencement of a suit seeking to compel the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Department of State Service (DSS) to prosecute some people for allegedly aiding Nnamdi Kanu to escape from Nigeria.
The judge, in a ruling on an ex parte application, granted leave to the plaintiff, Mr. Isiah Ayugu, to commence the suit naming the DSS, its Director-General, the police and the Inspector-General of Police as the defendants.
The Punch reports that the suit is seeking the arrest and prosecution of former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, and Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe, Tochukwu Uchendu, and Emmanuel Shallom Ben.
Abaribe, Uchendu and Ben were those who stood sureties for the bail granted the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu by the Federal High Court in Abuja in April, 2017.
Kanu jumped bail and dissapeared from the country several months back but has allegedly resurfaced in Israel.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Ralph Uwazuruike, told the Igbo people to dismiss comments made by Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) on Sunday, October 21.
Speaking in Owerri, Imo state capital, on Monday, October 22, Uwazuruike said that Kanu’s directive to the Igbo to boycott the 2019 elections except there is a referendum, is for his selfish gain.
