Just in: Oshiomhole reportedly on way back to Nigeria

The national chairman of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole has been reported to be on his way back to Nigeria from the United Kingdom, The Cable reports.

The APC chairman was out of the country immediately after being interrogated by the operatives of Department of State Service (DSS).

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the former Edo state governor was squeezed by DSS on petitions that he received bribes from some aspirants during the party's primary election.

However, fresh facts have emerged that Oshiomhole's travel might be less connected to politics as it was reported that his wife, Iara, is in the United States receiving treatment.

He reportedly departed London for Lagos through British Airways on Friday morning, November 9.

The former Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) chairman would be available again to face the post-primaries crisis he left behind.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, on Monday, November 5, condemned the APC national chairman Adams Oshiomhole’s apology to the Roman Catholic Church in the state.

At a meeting with Archbishop of Owerri Catholic diocese, Bishop Anthony Obinna and representatives of the Christian community in Imo state, Oshiomhole had condemned what he described as the governor's lack of respect for the church.

Reacting to Oshiomhole's apology, Governor Okorocha berated the APC chairman for behaving like an opposition.
