Adeleke lost the election to the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gboyega Oyetola, who is currently waiting to be sworn-in to succeed Rauf Aregbesola.

The defeated senator is currently in court to contest the result of the election and the declaration of Oyetola as the winner of the exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Legit.ng earlier reported that the senator representing Kogi West district at the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, on Friday, November 9, declared that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would soon break up.

However, Melaye did not give much details about his prediction. He simply said the break-up is unstoppable.
