One of the aggrieved All Progressives Congress (APC) governor, Ibikunle Amosun is currently in a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Punch reports.
The Ogun state governor is one of the aggrieved chieftains of the APC who is not satisfied by the outcome of the party’s primary elections.
Recall that the party’s National Working Committee headed by Adams Oshiomhole refused to recognise his preferred candidate for the governorship race.
Legit.ng had also reported that Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state allegedly threatened to defect from the All Progressives Congress (APC) if the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party fails to uphold the candidacy of his preferred governorship candidate, Abdul-Kabir Adekunle Akinlade.
The governor reportedly issued this threat during a meeting with some party leaders and his loyalists across the 20 local government areas of the state held at his private residence located inside Ibara GRA, Abeokuta.
However the Ogun state governor dismissed as mischief the insinuation that he had defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) or planning to dump the party over political developments in the state.
