- Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo has been ruled out of the Super Eagles match with South Africa
Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo welcomed HRH Prince Charles in Lagos and presented him with a copy of the famous Nigerian jersey.
The 2013 AFCON winner gave the prince jersey No. 70 as part of his upcoming 70th birthday celebration.
The presentation of jersey was done after the display by the Nigerian Navy in Victoria Island on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.
The prince is currently on a three-day courtesy visit to celebrate 75 years of the British Council's existence in Nigeria.
The prince’s visit to Lagos is in continuation of his three-day business and cultural tour of Nigeria and also to mark the 75th Anniversary of the British Council in Nigeria.
The Super Eagles will take on South Africa in a crucial AFCON qualifier on Saturday, November 17, in Johannesburg.
The camp will be officially opened on Monday, November 11, as players are expected to arrive from their respective base in Europe.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo is a major doubt for Nigeria’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying cracker against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana next week.
The China-based forward was injured while in action for Changchun Yatai in their 2-2 home draw against Tianjin Quanjin in a Chinese Super League clash.
