A team of Nigerian doctors have successfully separated conjoined twins in Abuja. The twins were separated at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital in Gwagwalada.
The news of the successful surgery was made known on social media by the lead doctor, Nuhu Kwajafa. The doctor who is part of the Global Peace Initiatives confirmed the news on his Instagram page.
Kwajafa also used the opportunity to thank everyone who helped and supported the twins with their prayers or finances for the surgery.
The doctor also thanked the speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, for contributing funds for the surgery. He described him as a kindhearted and extremely generous person.

In his post, he wrote: “We wish to express our profound gratitude, as we say a massive thank you to Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara, for his kind hearted and extremely generous gesture to the successfully separated twins and their family...God bless you Sir.”
