- EPL side Tottenham have stepped up their chase for Barcelona flop Malcom
- The Brazilian has only played for 25 minutes in all competitions for the Spanish giants
- Tottenham are reportedly ready to table £50m bid for Malcom in January
Premier League side Tottenham have joined the race to sign Barcelona’s Brazilian flop Malcom in the forthcoming winter transfer window in January.
According to a UK Sun report citing Corriere Dello Sport sources, the winger, who appears to have fallen out of contention in Ernesto Valverde’s plan at the Camp Nou will cost the north London dwellers more than Barcelona splashed out to secure his signature last summer.
At the last count, Maicom has only featured for 25 minutes in all competitions for the La Liga champions in the new campaign, as it seems not easy for the Brazilian to claim a place in Barca’s first-team.

Malcom’s blackout at the Catalan club, has seen Europe clubs like Tottenham and Inter Milan, keep vigil on development at Barcelona.
And the report further revealed that Tottenham are ready to table a £50 million offer for his services.
Interestingly, the 21-year-old forward was involved in a transfer row with three clubs-Bordeaux, Roma and Barcelona gunning for his services.
At the end, he sealed a switch to Spanish giants in a £36.5m deal after reportedly, agreeing to join Roma.
But after failing to prove his qualities, Spurs are now keen to sign the winger in the January window.
However, they will face stiff competition from Inter Milan - who are also monitoring Malcom’s situation at Camp Nou.
Barcelona square up against Real Madrid in the El Clasico on Sunday at 3pm (GMT).
For the first time since 2007, the pair of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, will not play any role during the explosive encounter at Camp Nou.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported that newly-signed Barcelona attacker Malcom is reportedly looking for a way out in January with just a few months after joining the Spanish champions.
The 21-year-old was favoured to join Serie A side Roma, but the move was diverted at the eleventh hour as Barca coughed out £36 million for his services.
But the Brazilian is yet to make a starting appearance in Ernesto Valverde's side in the club's shaky start to their campaign this season.
