Late Fela Anikulapo Kuti's son, Seun, has been nominated for the 61st Grammy Awards in the category of Best World Music Album.
Seun took to his Instagram page @bigbirdkuti to announce the news to his followers who have reacted with congratulatory messages to Seun as well as the entire Kuti family.
Sharing a picture, Seun called on his friends saying: "All my Grammy voting friends. Y’all know the vibes #getthesax."
This is coming hours after Seun took to his Instagram page to to warn people who want to lay claim to his father’s heritage that they stand no chance.
According to him, the Afrobeat pioneer suffered to build a name for himself and that his legacy belongs only to the family.
Few days ago, Seun shared a photo on his page to show gratitude to everyone who supported the just concluded Felabration festival with took place at the Afrikan Shrine, Lagos.
He wrote: "This is to say thank you to everyone for coming to support us this year again at Felabration 2018. It was a blast and we are truly looking forward to next year.
