Toke Makinwa's ex-husband Maje Ayida's father dies at 88

- Ex-husband of media personality Toke Makinwa loses his father

Fitness trainer, Maje Ayida, has lost his father, Allison Ayida. Maje Ayida was married to popular Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa.

The deceased reportedly died at the age of 88, on Thursday, October 11, 2018. He reportedly died at Saint Nicholas Hospital in Lagos state.

Allison Ayida worked as a super permanent secretary, serving as the secretary to the government of the federation during the military reign of former president, Olusegun Obasanjo.

Allison Ayida was born on June 16, 1930. He attended Kings College in Lagos state. He later got admitted to Oxford University, United Kingdom.

The deceased entered the civil service after his graduation from Oxford. He served in several positions in the civil service and later became the permanent secretary in the Federal Ministry of Economic Development.

Toke Makinwa and Maje Ayida had tied the knot in a very intimate court ceremony in 2014. However, after eighteen months crashed after it came out that Ayida had allegedly been cheating on Makinwa.

It was also revealed that Ayida had cheated on Makinwa with his ex-girlfriend Anita Solomon. The affair had allegedly led to Solomon getting pregnant for the fitness trainer.

Fast forward to years later, Makinwa clapped back with a book she wrote, titled On Becoming. This book detailed everything about her life to her relationship and marriage to Maje Ayida.
