Manchester United star Paul Pogba was livid on Thursday night, October 11, and had to storm the pitch after his teammate at the national team Kylian Mbappe was badly tackled against Iceland.
Reigning World Champions France were involved in a friendly match against Iceland, and it was PSG forward Kylian Mbappe who scored at the death for the match to end 2-2.
But in stoppage time, Iceland midfielder Runar Mar Sigurjonsson kicked out Kylian Mbappe while trying to cut the ball inside the box, and Runar's action invited the anger of Pogba.
Pogba then entered the pitch in annoyance and it was the center referee and other players that prevented him from attacking the Iceland player.
Sigurjonsson was swiftly shown a yellow card for his late tackle as Mbappe was treated for the foul and he is expected to be fine to take on Germany in the Nations League on Tuesday.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester United star Paul Pogba ruled himself out from the contention to win the 2018 Ballon d'Or award, but the midfielder wants one of his teammates at the national team to win it.
On Tuesday afternoon, Paul Pogba and 29 other football stars made the 30 man nominees for the 2018 Ballon d'Or award which was last won by Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
